Energy Policy:

• Yes to Drilling
• Yes to Nuclear
• Yes to Alternative Energy
• No to Windfall Profits Taxation

I support nuclear power. It is the least expensive and most reliable source of energy we have. Nations in both Europe and Asia have already made significant investments in their nuclear energy infrastructure in order to power their homes and businesses, safely and efficiently. In Ohio's second congressional district, we are fortunate to have a nuclear reprocessing company in Piketon that will play a pivotal role in the future development of safe nuclear power in our country.

I support alternative energy, such as wind and solar, as well as, investment in battery technology and hydrogen power to create more fuel-efficient automobiles.

I do not, however, support the proposed windfall profits tax on oil companies as it is not only un-American, it is nonsensical. It will only make our energy situation worse by reducing supply, and discouraging investment in oil/gas infrastructure.

Our country must develop a long-term plan in order to secure our economic future. We cannot continue to play the partisan blame game. We need to take action now.
